SICO finalizes first phase of Produmex Logistics implementation at its new distribution and production site at Blyes, Rhône-Alpes

October 12th, 2009 - Blyes (F)/ Annecy (F) / Perk (BE) – SICO, specialized in the production, storage and distribution of liquids and aerosols (sprays) since 1949, has chosen the software solution Produmex Logistics for SAP Business One to optimize its logistics operations.

The first phase of the implementation has taken place at SICO’s new distribution and production site in Blyes (Ain, Rhône-Alpes). The implementation has been realized by Globale Solution, an SAP Business One integrator based in Annecy, in collaboration with Produmex, supplier of the Produmex Logistics software.

This phase covers the complete management of goods reception, storage, order picking and shipping. It also includes batch management, inventory management based on FEFO (“First Expired, First Out”), GS1-EAN labeling and full product traceability.

At the conclusion of the first phase it has been decided to implement further functions such as advanced reporting, automatic invoicing, monitoring of storage thresholds for dangerous (Seveso) products, remote order management (customer access), etc.

After a successful career at SAP Belgium, Henk De Metsenaere has joined the management of Produmex at the beginning of April, 2008.
Within Produmex, Henk will coordinate Produmex’ operations in the area of SAP Business One .

After his studies as an engineer, Henk complemented his technical background with a degree in applied economics. He started his career as a commercial engineer at SIEMENS Belgium.
After 3 years Henk became responsible for introducing the SIEMENS PCS7 process control system on the Belgian market. In this context gained an in-depth insight in process automation and manufacturing.

Later, Henk joined Sun Microsystem as a segment manager for sales in manufacturing industries. Prior to joining PRODUMEX, Henk spent 7 years at SAP Belgium. Starting as an account manager he evolved in a sales Management role and finally spent the last 2 years of his career at SAP in the management team of SAP Belux.At SAP, Henk was mainly occupied with the go to market of SAP in Small and Medium size business.

Dirk Raes Logistics (www.dirkraes.be), specialized in third party logistic services for the pharmaceutical industry, has implemented Produmex Pharma for SAP Business One and has gone live with the system on May 1st, 2008.

Dirk Raes Logistics has been active as a logistic service provider in various industries since more than a decade. Since 2005 it has gradually extended its activities as a logistic service provider to pharmaceutical companies in the field of temperature-controlled storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products.

In view of the strict regulations governing pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution and in order to answer its customers’ advanced user requirements, the company decided to implement a Logistics Execution System to control, document and optimize its logistics operations. In this respect it was also of paramount importance that the selected solution would be suited for operation in a regulated environment.

Following a selection procedure, the company chose Produmex Pharma for SAP Business One as this offered a standard solution to the company’s needs, requiring only slight customizations. ProdumexPharma for SAP Business One not only allowed to manage the administrative and business processes in the office environment, but also the logistics operations in the warehouse, on the shopfloor and at the receiving and shipping docks, in compliance with the applicable regulations.

On April 30th Produmex has released the new logistics module of its software Add-On for SAP Business One.

This module streamlines all operations on the shopfloor from goods receipt, putaway through order picking and shipping, in full synchronization with the administrative purchasing, receiving, sales, delivery and invoicing processes in SAP Business One..

The Produmex Logistics Add-On consists of 3 main parts:

1. Extensions of existing SAP Business One functions (e.g. article master data, users, ...)
2. An administrative module offering "office" functions e.g. for defining a company's organisational structure, creating inventory reports, defining and planning delivery routes, creating picklists, etc.
3. A shopfloor module offering functions to support the operational processes on the shopfloor. By means of touchscreen or handheld terminals the operators are guided through the execution of the logistics operations on the floor. This module also guarantees the transparant communication of information back and forth to SAP Business One, so that the shopfloor operations are completely synchronized with the administrative and financial business processes

Leuven - February 29, 2008 - The biopharmaceutical company ThromboGenics has awarded a new SAP automation project to SAP partner Produmex. With 'SAP Project Management for Biopharmaceutical R&D", ThromboGenics can further optimize its research projects and the clinical study phases of its new medicines. Last year ThromboGenics already chose Produmex for SAP Business One, SAP's ERP software for small and midsize biopharmaceutical R&D companies.

With the new application, which is based on the SAP Life Sciences Business Process Platform, ThromboGenics can better manage and plan its available resources, monitor its activities in an improved way and more efficiently handle budgeting and reporting in its headquarters in Leuven and its offices in Dublin and New York. SAP partner Produmex is responsible for the complete implementation of the project, training of the users and the full lifecycle support.

 Vipam BV (www.vipam.nl), wholesaler of ingredients and decorations for industrial bakery based in Geldermalsen (NL), has selected Produmex Logistics for SAP Business One. The solution will be implemented by mYuice, subsidiary of SAP specialist Ctac, based in 's Hertogenbosch (NL).

Following its move earlier this year to its new offices in the Researchpark Waterfront in Niel, Produmex has now decided to change its visual identity.

For its new logo the company has based itself on the graphic representation of a water molecule (H2O), the “essence of life”.
